Our service involves the following steps

NB. This process can be monitored by registering & accessing
the website for a progress report

Images are scanned at high resolution with levels and colour adjusted to reproduction standards. A 300ppi file is produced so that highlights and shadows are within professional printing limits. ie. no blocked out shadows, no burnt out highlights. An uncompressed Tiff file is produced of between 65 - 70 mg.

Images are edited in photoshop to remove all dust & scatches when images are viewed at 100% - noise is removed and images are adjusted again for levels and correct colour balance. If required lens problems such as barrel distortion, pincushion distortion & chromatic aberration are also removed. Also if required converging verticals and sloping horizons can be corrected.

We also offer a fully comprehensive captioning service. We will embed IPTC data directly into each image file, which includes description, keywords and author. This has to be provided by the photographer. We will only add the caption and keyword information that you send us.

Your finished images will be returned on CD or DVD (cross-platform ie. can be read on macs or pc's) via special delivery when finished. When you confirm receipt of this media we will dispatch your original transparencies again by special delivery. If required we can keep a backup of your digital material for a fee of 50pence per image per year.
